Welcome to the 2008 East Coast Championship Show. One of the largest American Quarter Horse shows in the United States, it is also widely recognized as one of the most exciting.  Our goal is to provide a major equestrian event that offers challenge and excitement to owners and exhibitors alike.  We strive to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, a show you will want to return to year after year.

The East Coast Championship Show is held in historic Lexington, Virginia at the beautiful Virginia Horse Center.  A world-class facility, the Horse Center is a modern arena complex.  It boasts more than 745 permanent stalls, 8 spacious barns, 2 indoor arenas, wash stalls, warm-up areas, restaurants, showers and convenient parking.

To show appreciation for our exhibitors, the East Coast Championship Show offers impressive prizes.  In 2008, more than $90,000 in cash and prizes will be presented.  Top-of-the-line sheets, blankets, and arena bags; custom show clothing; silver halters; and elegant gold jewelry are just a few of the prizes exhibitors will take home.  In previous years, the All Around Amateur and Novice Amateur Champions have won trailers, customized golf cars, electric scooters, tropical cruises, show saddles, and fashionable Rolex watches.

Each year we listen to exhibitors and try to improve our show.  In 2004 for the first time, we offered an award to the Amateur Select High Point Champion; in 2005, an Amateur Select All Around Champion was recognized.  The ECCS included NSBA classes in 2006, expanding them in subsequent years.  In 2008 we will offer an AQHA special event for Hunter Hack and Working Hunter.

The East Coast Championship Show works closely with Southern Inn Catering and Concessions to extend our hospitality to exhibitors and their families.  We invite you to enjoy coffee and donuts in the mornings, and afternoon snacks at the trail ring and Wiley Arena.  Please join us on Thursday in the Coliseum, when we present ECCS's extraordinary Extravaganza Evening.  On Friday afternoon, Hylton Quarter Horses will sponsor a delicious picnic lunch, and on Friday evening in the Mezzanine, come to the Fashion Show and enjoy more great treats.
